“Don’t follow trends, start trends.” -Frank Capra
As this year begins to wind down the jewelry industry as a whole is looking towards next year & what it has in store for everyone.
As trends begin to emerge in consumer habits, we are looking to predict what will be big next year to create a cohesive shopping experience for our customers.
Below we have compiled a list of some of the breaking trends we predict will be massive going into 2021, enjoy.

1) Custom Designs – As we look towards the future of this pandemic, we have seen our in-store foot traffic lighten over time, however, we’ve seen a massive increase in custom designs. In times like these consumers are less interested in what’s in the showcase, and more looking for a very unique gift that you can’t get anywhere else.
2) Yellow Gold – As many popular trends rise & fall in our cultural zeitgeist, some come full circle to rise again. Yellow gold has been very popular in any style. From bold to layered.
3) Statement Pieces – With many of us being stuck in online meetings going forward many customers are looking for larger statement earrings & necklaces. Something that can really stand out in our new online landscape.
4) Chains – The ones we all remember from the 80’s are back again. Larger gold chain necklaces have been best sellers recently. We are guessing because of our previous point many are looking for something to grab people’s attention in Zoom meetings all over.
5) Organic & Rough-Cut Diamonds – The traditional solitaire round cut diamond had its time in the spotlight, but we are now looking forward stones that are not as perfectly cut but shine in their natural beauty. Something that can hold beauty in how it was made from the earth without much human intervention.
6) Gemstones – Similar to the organic diamonds, bridal rings with bright & colorful gemstones are all the rage currently. Something that stands out from the crowd and grabs attention. Bright ruby’s, emeralds, and sapphires are taking over the bridal scene.
7) Tech Jewelry – With the 21st century well underway & our technology advancing at a rapid rate people have been looking for more fashionable advancements in the technological space. From smart watches to Fitbit covers the wearable tech industry is booming like crazy.

2020 is coming to an end, but the trends we are going to see in 2021 are really pushing consumer habits in the direction we’ve been leaning towards this whole year.
People are looking for more affordable, one of a kind, natural, and usable pieces of jewelry that can help them conquer this new digital landscape.
We are excited to see what trends next year brings & if anything we didn’t think of coming into vogue.
